How often do you shave?

Depends on the day. I love the feeling of my smooth dome, but it depends on how much time I have. I must shave every morning. Then I will do it again if I'm out that evening. I skipped shaving today all together, and it's bothering me. I hate having velcro head.

Velcro head is not as irritating as a razor and sun-burned head. This summer it's been one shave very other day. My dome can't take the heat.

Shaving every day, keeps my shadow away.

Just went from every 4 days, to every 3 days. Will I get down to every other day, or every day? Time will tell.

If you're new at this, it's best to give your scalp time to recoup the ravages of scrapping your scalp with a razor. There's a saying "time heals everything", including your scalp. Eventually you'll be able to transition to daily shaves, if that's what you want.

Nothing worse than a bad case of razor burn. When I first started scrapin' the ole noggin', I did everything wrong. And my scalp paid for it. It was fire engine red for while. I wanted color, but not that kind of color.

My moto is be kind to your scalp, and it will be good to you. I'm thinking back to when I put a blade to my face. It was beet red because it wasn't used to be shaved. The same with the scalp. Nothing wrong with going two or three days without a shave.

No amount of sun or razor burn can hide my horseshoe shadow. Only daily shaves can get rid of the shadow.

To the young un's here: don't worry so much about the shadow. Enjoy it while you have it, cause it doesn't last forever. Hair gets lighter as you get older. I know there's more snow on my dome now than when I first started shaving it. And with each passing year my shadow is not a prevalent as it once was. It's no big deal.

The shadow is more visible to you than to others. You're looking at your head from up close. Others see it from a distance.

I don't agree. In my opinion a shaved head is the closest thing to perfection.

I recently went from every 3 days, to every other day now. I found it's easier to shave with less stubble, plus I'm kinda hooked on doing it anyway. The gym I go to has a lot of shaved heads and I start feeling shaggy if I'm not totally clean.

Currently, it's every other day during the work week. On the weekends I'm giving it a rest. Will return to my daily regimen after the winter.

With the things costing so much, I shave my head just twice a week. It works for me.

I'm back to an every three days routine. Last shave was two days ago, and the velcro isn't too bad yet today.

With all this hot weather, it makes sense to follow a routine that would avoid irritating the scalp.

My shaving regimen is every other day. If I have a major event I refrain from shaving for three days. I find I get a much closer shave after three days off.

It depends on how thick one's hair is. For me it's not a choice. EVERYDAY.
