What's your favorite kind of beer?
Re: On Tap ....Beer Of The Day
Had my first Icehouse last night over at the local pool hall. Well there was not much flavor or aroma. It's a beer that is drinkable for little money and I would only buy this beer if there was nothing else at the gas station. Not much else to say about it.

I had my first Icehouse over at the local bowling alley. If my memory serves me right I had a low score that night.SlimJim wrote:Had my first Icehouse last night over at the local pool hall.

That's a Jimmy Buffett beer made by his Margaritaville Brewing Co.Rodger wrote:My beer du jour is Landshark.
Too light weight for me. Like what aargh just said about his beer.... Landshark is almost like drinking water.
Don't know why they named it LandSHARK. This beer has no bite.

Re: On Tap ....Beer Of The Day
I know that the hop-heads want more and more of the pungent meat in their IPA, APA, coffee, tea, partner's apparati and drinking water, but I want less and less and luckily for me this one helps me in my crusade. A tad of the spunky herb, some toffee/caramel and a hefty helping of malt make this one of the better offerings from the T. Knocker Sixer. Nothing supremely alive here but worth filling your bladder once or twice with. Try it. You'll like it.

I most always have your basic American working mans beer when out -- for some reason . . .
None of that exotic crapola . . .

I'm not much for brewsky's on the sweet side, but it's been so hot this summer that a root beer float sounds good about now.

Newcastle Brown Ale is an easily available and nicely drinkable English Brown Ale that definitely merits a try.

There's nothing like the old-school recipe of this classic thirst quencher.

My wife dragged me to the "Oktoberfest" in a local park Friday night. The Obenheimer Band played Oompah music under the big tent, people wearing lederhosen and drinking beer out of huge clear plastic mugs (no glass allowed). I've never attended the real Oktoberfest in Munich, probably never will, but this was a lot of fun.

Let's get Pilsner out of the way first, shall we? There are many great German Pilsners available. They are crisp, refreshing, and have a delightful hoppy bite.
