Fat Tuesday, is Today. So what actually is the Fat behind this Tuesday? In the Christian calendar, Fat Tuesday represents a day of indulging. It is the last day in the Christian calendar when people eat fatty or rich foods, before the start of lent. For those NOT in the "know", Lent is a period of restriction, when Christians give up their vices and try to live a ‘better life’.
So in honor of this day folks have carnival style "Mardi Gras" celebrations and wear costumes and masks. There are lots of dancing and sporting competitions. Basically, it’s lots of fun!

What's with all the religious jargon.
Eat, drink and be merry.
BTW to all my Judaic buddies out there, today's Purim. I've been informed it's the Jewish equivalent of Mardi Gras & Halloween. That sounds like a fun holiday.
