Re: On Tap ....Beer Of The Day
The beer conglomerates may not be what they once were, but trust me, the local brew scene is hopping.
There are so many local and micro brews....haven't had a corporate brew in years.
But this town is a hot bed of brew pubs and adventurous bar owners. The corporates never got a stranglehold here....Yeungling is the corporate brew here, locally owned and brewed since 1829....kind of the equivalent of Bud in other places. If you walk in to a corner bar and ask for a draft beer (lager), chances are you'll get a Yeungling....

Re: On Tap ....Beer Of The Day
Here is a compilation of some of the best Aussie beer Ads out there, featuring VB, Tooheys, Carlton Draught, Bundaberg Rum and Hahn.
Yes, there is a rum commercial in there, because it is good as well, and frankly "Top 10 Beer Ads" is more attractive than "Top 10 Alcoholic Beverage Ads".

Aussie beer is readily available in the states. Give it try. My bet is that you'll like them as much as your domestics.Duff wrote:Buy domestic.

Darby my eye!!?!!
HenryZ this place could use some more of your expertise on beer (and hats!!).
I had me one of those Yuenglings just the other day. Man, it was good. Real gooood. Almost made me forget that I'm a responsible father of a two year old.

Looking at your choice of beer, you're quite the urban sophisticate, Zeke.Zeke wrote:

Old English 800 is vile tasting stuff.
When I was in college we'd get it because it gave the biggest bang for the buck.

It Tastes SKUNKY
Olde English doesn't have a stong alcohol taste like some other beers, but it's pretty nasty stuff.

I really like craft beers, but enjoy a classic too. Something like Pabst Blue Ribbon.

My beer du jour is Landshark. This beer is smooth and refreshing and is way better than Corona.
