I belong to a local Doo-Wop group, The Valiants. Our biggest gig to date was at the county fair last summer. We were part of a retro-weekend that included a 50's car show. Lot's of Drifter's and Jay & the Americans songs and a special salute to Hank Williams, Sr. Got a standing ovation for You're Cheating Heart and Hey Good Lookin' done in 4-part harmony.

I met my old lady singing harmony. Twenty some years ago and 30 pounds lighter I sung in a college group. Songs like "Down By The Riverside", "My Wild Irish Rose", "Where The Blue Of The Night (Meets The Gold Of The Day)". It was an experience I remember quite fondly, except for the costumes we had to wear. We had ties, real bow ties, not the fake ones that you could just clip on. I could never get the tying right. That's were my lady came in. She was a god-send. It took her a split second to get the tie done for me.

My folks had me wearing one in grade school. Teacher's thought I was a Jr. Healy and that was

What talented folks we got here. In addition to being a Little Leaguer (LF), my 9 year old son is a lead singer for his school's glee club. My 5 year old daughter competes in pageants.
