Dealing With Baldness
I think its a generational thing. A lot of older guys deal with it with pure acceptance or a comb-over. Younger men and those seeking to take advantage of the current fashion trend are sporting shaved heads, but in all fairness to those who are reluctant, it's hard. It's hard to picture yourself with a shaved head, and its hard to believe that you actually get used to it and grow to like it rather quickly.

I refuse to let social anxiety and insecurity marginalize my life and happiness.
Instead I find happiness within myself and rise above any ill-conceived ideals of our culture.

It's the cheapest and most practical solution to hairloss. There's nothing to lose, except yourself if you can't accept it. Considering other hair options, you'll end up getting a head shave sooner or later.BillyBaldwin wrote:problem solved > headshave

When my hair got patchy, I dealt with it by covering it with a hat.
Who was I fooling. Only myself. The best way to deal with baldness is to come clean and headshave.

A hat is a necessary accessory when you're head is exposed to the elements. Be sensible and wear one whenBeachComber wrote:I have nothing to hide. I rarely wear a hat. My head is open for all the world to see.

My head's been bald for so long (talking decades here), that it doesn't even feel the cold.

Sir, either you live south of the Mason-Dixon line or you have a serious problem with your circulation.

South Dakota born and raised and sported a high and tight crew most of my childhood. But after five years in the desert, my bald head requires protection from the cold, especially when returning for those frigid late December holiday reunions with the family.
Brrrr.

Just wondering how you North Americans would put up with the ever changing fluctuations over here.Luke wrote:South Dakota born and raised and sported a high and tight crew most of my childhood. Re: Dealing With Baldness
Going back to the first post on this thread, yeah it was sure hard for me to accept what was happening when it began around age 19. Denial became my first instinct. Now I think we are positive role models for all the guys facing similar issues, helping to dispel the notion that the only way to deal with baldness is embarrassment, a rug, a combover, or a transplant.

I saw a bad rug the other day, and I have a buddy who still sprays a few long hairs across the top of his head. As far as Bald is bad a$$, you got that right!
