Tiger Woods Cut By Gillette

Tiger Woods helped to launch the Gillette Fusion Power Gamer razor during the Gillette-EA SPORTS Champions of Gaming Finals earlier this year.

Gillette announced that Tiger Woods has been cut from marketing campaigns, although the company has not announced that they are permanently distancing themselves from the golfer. Gillette's announcement came shortly after Tiger's announcement that he was taking an 'indefinite' break from golf. Gillette states that their decision was in response to Tiger's desire to remain out of the public eye and obtain privacy.

Gillette is one of Tiger's major sponsors. It has been reported that Tiger Woods gets around $100 million annually in endorsement revenue. In addition to Gillette, other sponsors have indicated that they are "evaluating" their relationship with Woods. AT&T is evaluating their endorsement deal, and consulting firm Accenture has removed Tiger Woods from their Web site, even though they have not indicated what that means.

Did you say 100 million annually! I don't see this guy going to the poorhouse in the near future.
