Customer Service?
Don't you hate when you call customer service and you hear this:
press 1 for English,
press 2 for Spanish
press 3 if you know the extension or department,
press 4 for appointment.
Just a second. I need 2 speak to a human being, NOW!
I know I'm not the only one that feels this way! How about you?
Another thing that also gets me ticked-off is when I finally get to speak with someone, it's from some "out-sourced center".
I have talked to guys with obvious accents that say "Hello, this is Andy. How may I help you?"
I literally say "Your name is Andy, really? Thats the name you were born with?" Many times I have gotten the guys to tell me where they are and that they are told to use an American name to make the customer feel more comfortable. "Andy, when you start our conversation with a lie, that doesn't make me feel comfortable at all!".

Re: Customer Service?
You are being too PC. Outsourced center, HA! Mumbai is more like it. Andy, no way. Rajendra is more like it.
Seriously there was recent story on 60 Minutes about this. These jobs need to be kept stateside. And don't say that Americans won't take them cause they're too low paying. Just look at the current unemployment stats.
