Who's Next? 25qrlhvAs the recession slogs on, many once-great American companies are failing. After 101 years, General Motors filed for bankruptcy today. With reduced debt and taxpayer funds, it may one day emerge from bankruptcy, but its ultimate future is still up in the air.

With twelve other iconic American firms that are now on the brink of disaster, the worst is still ahead.

Looking at that list I would have to go with Sears as the next in line for bankruptcy. They took on far too much when they merged with K-Mart. Sales at both places have been poor. At least where I live that's been the case.
