Star Trek's Captain Robau
It's an understatement to say that headshaver Faran Tahir is having a great year as an actor. Not only was Tahir the villain Raza in Iron Man but he's also playing Captain Robau in J.J. Abrams' reboot of Star Trek. Tahir, a Pakistani-American actor, has the distinction of playing Captain Robau, the first Federation starship captain of South Asian ethnicity to play a major role, in Star Trek. In this, Tahir is the latest in a long line of ethnic actors who have taken on color-blind roles in Trek, which has had a tradition going back to the original series and creator Gene Roddenberry of imagining a future where every person lives up to his or her fullest potential, regardless of race or ethnicity.

This is the first Star Trek film where the characters from the original series are played by different actors. It's about time the aging Shatner and Nemoy handed the franchise over to the younger generation. looking forward to see this film. And bald Captain Rabau should make an interesting addition to the crew.

By all accounts the old Mr Spock does make an appearance though.

The old Captain Kirk, William Shatner, is actually bald.

The jury's out on whether or not Shatner wore a "piece" in the original Star Trek series.
But he certainly does NOW!
I wonder how he would look au natural

Long time fans of the Star Trek franchise say JJ Abrams' enjoyable, engaging prequal betrays what Star Trek is all about.
